Terms and Conditions

FACILITY & SAFETY

a. NECC has not yet determined the facility fees for the barn as it is not fully functional.
b. Until the barn is fully renovated, NECC and its members will not be responsible for any incidents or accidents that occur inside or outside the barn. Users assume full responsibility for safety during the entire event.
c. Donations are strongly encouraged as they are essential for the renovation of the barn, suggested donations for 1 hour is $50, 4 hours is $175.
d. The contract with NECC may be terminated at any time if renovation or other construction projects for the barn or other facilities commence.
e. Fire-related activities, including candles, are strictly prohibited inside the barn.
f. Loitering and noise pollution are not allowed.


FACILITY HOURS:
08:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted in the agreement.


CAPACITY:
Up to 30 people inside the barn.


SET-UP & CLEAN-UP:
It is the responsibility of the users to set up and clean up the facility (Community Hall, parking areas, and surrounding grounds) after use during the scheduled event time. This includes:
a. Cleaning and returning tables and chairs to their original locations.
b. Vacuuming, sweeping floors, and removing signage and decorations.
c. Emptying trash bins, tying trash bags, and placing them near the driveway.
d. The Event Organizer is responsible for bringing toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and cleaning products if the bathrooms inside the house are used.


ANNOUNCING YOUR EVENT:
The agreement must be signed and received by the Property Manager before the user may send invitations, advertise, or promote the event.


SIGNS AND BANNERS:
Users are responsible for removing all signs or banners immediately after the event. If not removed, labor charges for recreation personnel will apply. Any damage to the property caused by the installation, display, or removal of signage will be the user’s responsibility.


ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES & NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD:
Alcoholic beverages and non-vegetarian food are not allowed on the property. Controlled substances, firearms, and loitering are also prohibited.


PETS:
Pets must be leashed or contained at all times. Pet owners are responsible for ensuring the safety of all visitors and for cleaning up after their pets.


PARKING AREAS:
Please be aware that designated permanent parking is being developed. Do not block the house driveway or any other areas. The user is responsible for managing parking during the event. NECC is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles parked on the property. Parking on sidewalks, the driveway, or near the entrance is prohibited. Any damage caused by illegal parking is the responsibility of the vehicle owner.


SOUND SYSTEM:
The barn walls are not soundproof. We recommend not using a sound system. If one is necessary, please keep the volume low at all times to avoid disturbing neighbors.


PERSONAL LOSSES & DAMAGES:
NECC is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced property left in or on the facility or grounds. The user agrees to release NECC from any liability for injuries or damage to persons or property arising from the use or occupancy of the complex or grounds. Cleanup must be completed immediately following the event.


INDEMNIFICATION:
The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Nepal Education and Cultural Center (NECC) and its officers, directors, agents, and employees from all claims, damages, losses, and liabilities, including reasonable attorneyโ€™s fees, arising from or caused by the user or its attendees’ negligence.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:
All individuals attending events at the facility should respect the atmosphere, Mandir premises, deities, and amenities. NECC reserves the right to reject any party for any reason or under any circumstances.
